May 30, 20188 yr I'm using my SSD as storage for dockers, plugins, temporary downloads etc. so my disks don't have to spin up. I've ran the Fix Problems plugin, and one thing it noticed was that the SSD was formatted as ReiserFS, so the Trim plugin would not work. It was recommended to reformat it to XFS. Sounds logical. Now, can i just stop all dockers etc., move the contents of the SSD to a (folder on a) temporary harddisk, reformat the SSD to XFS, move the stuff back, and that is it? Should that work?
May 30, 20188 yr Author My SSD is not used as an actual cache drive... it is assigned as one, but not used as one. I'm also not using the mover. So i guess that procedure won't work?

May 30, 20188 yr Author No... the SSD is assigned to the cache slot, but 'use cache disk' in global settings is OFF. Also there is no mover functionality. I think i can just do it as i described, manually copy the contents to a temp location, format the SSD, and copy it back... just wanna make sure i'm not missing something.
May 31, 20188 yr Author Copied everything to a disk, formatted the SSD to XFS, started array, copied back... and now the docker service won't start... i even rebooted, did not help. Any idea's? unraid-diagnostics-20180531-1002.zip Edited May 31, 20188 yr by jowi
May 31, 20188 yr Community Expert Since it's assigned to the cache slot you should have used the procedure I linked above, you just needed to enable use cache disk. Both the docker and libvirt images are corrupt, docker it's easy to delete and recreate, but to keep your VMs libvirt needs to be restored from backup or you'll need to recreate the VMs XML, though you can still use the old vdisks.
May 31, 20188 yr Author Like i said, the procedure wont work since it is NOT a cache disk, so there is NO mover... My guess is i have to re-create all dockers...

You just need to recreate the image, you can add the old dockers from my templates or CA.
