UDMA CRC error count on drive

Featured Replies

So i just got a new drive and installed it.

When i booted back up another drive started counting up UDMA CRC error count it got its first error when i booted up.

Now i have 33 errors in the last hour... i have checked the SATA cable and it looks fine.

It's plugged into a different LSI Controller card so i dont think it is that, could UDMA CRC error count be the SATA cable?

It usually is.

Double check that all of the SATA cables (both data and power) are firmly seated.  It is too easy to loosen another connector when replacing a drive...
