I'm interested in a Squeezebox Server plug-in for the unRAID 5.0 platform. I own a Squeezebox, and i love this device. I store all my compact discs converted to FLAC onto my unRAID server. I don't have a clue how to create a add-in by myself all though I'm interested how this is done. So i request for Squeezebox Server add-in. More people interested?

If you search the forum, you will find that a number of us have already installed squeezebox server.  Unfortunately, slackware isn't one of the platforms directly targeted by slimdevices/logitech, so it does require a little effort and understanding in order to get it running.  I guess that the best solution would be for someone, who is a little more familiar with slackware than I, to create an install 'package'.

I indeed did read that people have installed squeezeboxserver, but i didn't found a good how-to. Maybe I missed it. A plug-in should simplify running squeezebox onto unRAID server.

 

I'm also not familiar with slackware. Maybe someone can point us to the right direction!

When i install a full slackware environment in a virtual machine is it possible to figure out how Squeezebox server is installed? After that is it possible to repeat this steps onto a unRAID server?

 

Ok, it needs the Perl language. In a full slackware environment is this in the repository? I'll guess so... 

I'll +1 for squeezbox plugin.

 

I know that perl is needed but I've followed all that I can find for getting it installed in 4.5.6 and can't get it going as you can see in my user customization post. A plugin for people like me who are just your average weekend hacks would be greatly appreciated.

 

I bought my wife a squeezebox boom for her birthday and it;s just a big clock as I can't get it to run in unraid.
