June 29, 20188 yr To me, it looks like either the controller is dead (although it is recognized), or you don't have power connected to the hard drives, or the SFF8088 cables are disconnected at the controller. It's not seeing any drive at all.
June 30, 20188 yr Have you opened the case and double checked all your cables?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
June 30, 20188 yr Author I have opened the case and checked all the cables they are all ok im thinking maybe i need a new motherboard thanks for all your help.

Get the VGA connected so you can see what’s going on at boot. You should see an option to enter the card set-up menu, essentially card BIOS. You could also check your system BIOS settings and verify the drives are recognized in BIOS. Note: when I make any hardware changes or have any hardware issues, I always go into BIOS to verify. For example, I added four sticks of RAM, then during boot noticed memory issue. Checked BIOS. Only three sticks recognized. Shut down. Reset all RAM modules. Boot to BIOS. All good. You might want to shut down and remove all ram. Then install one at a time, booting between each to see if you get any to be recognized. And if one doesn't get recognized, then shut down and remove it. Mark it with a piece of tape. Am I making sense. You want to go through your hardware methodically. Identifying what works and what doesn't.
July 1, 20188 yr Author Many thanks for the help i will get back to you when i have diagnosed the problem.
July 8, 20187 yr If your machine hasn't been used for two years (but worked at that time), then the first step would be to reseat every cable/card/module in the machine. If that doesn't solve the issue, then the second test would be to remove as much stuff as possible and boot the machine. Then keep adding boards/memory modules/disks and see if/when it starts failing. One thing with a machine that hasn't been powered for two years is that maybe the BIOS battery might be bad.
