July 1, 20188 yr Alright guys, so I am going to be upgrading some hardware soon and here is some questions I was thinking about. When i move my HD's over to new case, is order of drives important? They are in a 2U server blade with a raid card flashed to IT mode. Will unRaid rebuld the data? Can unRaid identify the HD's by serial? What I wanted to do if it can is mark them by serial as I take them out, so I can put them in that order so to speak when I transfer them into new case. Raid card will be be transferred as well. Things that are going to be new. CPU MOBO Case PSU SAS expander Things I am taking from old server MEM Raid card (flashed to IT mode) HD's (12) USB flash drive (although I bought a new one to use in place of the older one) And any other tips and pointers anyone might have if they have done similar/upgrades/lateral moves.. Thanks I can get links to parts if need be.

July 4, 20188 yr Here's the link to the unRAID FAQ related to your question. The key points were already answered but I thought you might like it for reference.
