wisem2540
My build was based on the Supermicro SAS controller that was so popular for many years. Parity syncs have always been somewhat slow. That controller would crash occasionally and mark 3-4 drives as missing. That happened again today, so I finally swapped it for a Dell H310 right now, my parity is syncing at 33MB. It does increase after a while, sometimes. I have attached a log to see if anything jumps out. EDIT after 30mins it is now up to 125MB. Is this slow start normal? wisem2540
I was doing some looking around and realized that the drives plugged into my motherboard ports are only operating at 3G rather than 6gs. Will I noticed any Improvement if I buy another HBA? Edited July 4, 2018 by wisem2540 Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
SATA2 is more than enough for current hard drives, SSDs are a different story. Quote Link to comment
