Login Trouble

Featured Replies

Hello All,
I'll try to explain my dilemma as best as I can as I am not very savy when it comes to this and got as far as I have by learning as I go.

Last week we had a power outage which shut down my PC and server, this has happened many times before with no problem but this time theres an issue.

PC turned on fine but when I tried to turn on my server (with the original USB key) nothing happened as far as being able to access it. It has power and boots up fine but when I try to access the web interface from my PC, I get nowhere and it says - This site can’t be reached

I cant even get into the web interface from the server, it gets stuck at a truncating part.

I thought maybe the flash key was the problem so I made another from the download section which works... so I thought.
I installed the new USB key into my server after getting a replacement key file, installed into the config folder from my PC as the direction said.

Now I am able to get into the GUI on my server but its showing a different IP address and when I try to access that one from my PC it also says - This site can’t be reached

Also with the new key, from the boot screen on the server where it get to the login information, my login info does not work.

I can type my user name but no keys work when I try to type my password.

Am I missing something?

Update:

I am now able to get into the web interface from my PC but it seems nothing is as it was, pretty much like it was when it was new.

Here are screenshots of what I see.

Did you copy any of the config Information from the old USB key to the new one (basically the contents of the Config folder)?   If you did not then it will be acting as if you are just starting with unRAID.
