(SOLVED) Docker - continuous Orphan images

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am using 6.5.3, but i had the problems since my first installation as new unraid paid user with 6.5.0 but the problem persisted with updates.

- I don't have advanced buttons installed. I removed it after seeing other posts about orphan images. The problem persists.

- Any "manual update" from my part, appears that don't create any orphan image  ¿?¿?

- Some dockers has customized ports or variables, but others aren't modified. but since I can not know where each orphan image one comes from ... :(

- I haven't seen any relevant info about this problem on logs or I have not known how to see.

I attached my diagnostics logs. Any help will be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

(SOLVED)

When in doubt, stop the docker service, delete the entire docker.img file, restart the service, and re-add your apps via Apps, Previous apps.

Ok. Done.

We'll see what happens in a few days.

Thanks!!!

What's you internet speed like?  Are you continually maxing out your bandwidth via transmission, etc?

  • Author

Fiber 1Gb downstream, 300Mb upstream.

I am barely using transmission and i have bandwidh limited.

Thx for your help.

Anyone has some other ideas to try :)  ???

Just to eliminate it, try setting your DNS addresses to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and get rid of the router resolving DNS addresses for you

Ok. I have changed it to give a try.... it will be very curious if that solves the problem ;)

I will report in some days. Thanks

Watchtower removed... After some days it is working perfectly.

I will use CA autoupdate for dockers, etc.

Thanks Squid for your help ?

(SOLVED)

  • 4 weeks later...

Thanks for this post. I've been going crazy with 100s of orphaned images in my docker. May be worth putting a note about orphaned images in the Docker section since it seems to relate to the Docker Utilization FAQ part.
