prostuff1
I want it. Can't get it. Why doesn't Lime Tech re-stock? No one knows the answer to this question except for limetech. You can try sending an email to see if/when it might be available for sale again. On side note: There are some people here that would be willing to build a machine for you. I would be one, and Rajahal is another that has offered his services before. There might be others but none that come to mind. Link to comment
shawn
Thanks for the offering. Are you a business though? Lime Tech says their hardware comes with 1y warranty. I could try to put something together myself but I'm not sure where to get good drive cages for cheap. Link to comment

I could try to put something together myself but I'm not sure where to get good drive cages for cheap. I am not a business, i just build computers for myself, family and friends most of the time. You will not find good drive cages for cheap. That's just the fact of it. Link to comment
Rajahal
Yes, I'm also willing to build custom servers for others. Most if not all components come with their own manufacturer warranties ranging from 3 months to 3 years. I don't offer any warranty apart from these. My business license is pending. The biggest problem is shipping, since shipping something so large and heavy generally costs $150 or more. If you happen to live anywhere in the area between San Francisco and Reno I can hand-deliver it for much cheaper. We can also help guide you through building your own server. Tell us what you are looking for in terms of drive cages (how many drives, trays or trayless, etc) and we can help you find something. Link to comment
prostuff1
I am in the same bout as Rajahal, and that the warranty woudl be on the retailer of the parts. Shipping is the main problem as it can get expensive very quick. I am in the Columbus Ohio Area and would be willing to hand deliver also. Up to about 3 hour drive one way is the max that i would probably drive. Link to comment
vexhold
Yeah, I would not count on getting a system built by LimeTech. When I first found unRAID I sent them about 3-4 emails over a 2 month span asking about multi-build prices and a couple other questions and never once recieved a response. So either he's not doing any hardware sales, or too busy to care. Now I am spending the money else where and building it myself. Edit: I was inquiring about the 1510 not the 1200. Link to comment
shawn
It appears that LimeTech is one guy whose business is selling license keys, so the hardware products listed are for illustrative purposes. Link to comment
prostuff1
It appears that LimeTech is one guy whose business is selling license keys, so the hardware products listed are for illustrative purposes. They are not for illustrative purposes, he has sold prebuilt servers before. He is probably busy with the 5.0 beta stuff and getting it going. There is a lot of time involved in getting a server setup and tested and he may not have the time to do that. Link to comment
vexhold
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not cutting Tomm down at all, as I know coding can be a pain in the ass. I was just new to the unRAID scene and saw there was no "SOLD OUT" notice on the 1510's so I got a little Irked about not getting ANY response (even to say "sorry, I don't have the time"). I am still a HUGE fan of unRAID and have no problems what-so-ever building a couple servers of my own. I was just in a time crunch and needed something quick, but now I have negotiated a time increase and am excited as hell to get this done. Link to comment
bcbgboy13
Perhaps the reason is because he used a very rigid hardware specifications and these parts are now either not available or their price may have gone up substantially. For example try to find Asus P5LD2-VM - this is the motherboard used on RB-1200 specs. Good luck with this one. Link to comment
