Drive not showing in Unraid

Featured Replies

I'm currently having an issue with my SAS Controller (AOC-SAS2LP-MV8) on my X8ST3-F MB. All my hard drives are connected to my MB but 3. The 3 drives are connected to my controller card, only one of the 3 drives reads of the SAS/SATA cable. Oddly enough the SAS is plugged into port 0-3 and the only drive read on unraid is port 2. On the SAS controller BIOS I can see all 3 drives. I have disable INT13. I reflashed the adapter BIOS. I tried 4 different SAS/SATA cables. I tried every port on each card. I'll provide my syslog and hope that someone can help. I've searched and tried just about everything I could mind in the Limetech forums. Thanks again for any assistance.

While the SAS2LP is not recommend for unRAID, I'm not seeing the problem, it's detecting 3 drives there connected, 3 Hitachis: disk2 (sdl), disk4 (sdm) and disk7 (sdn)

The weird part is SDL is from the sas controller and SDM and SDN are connect to the motherboard. I ordered an LSI card so hopefully that will fix it but I know 3 other people running these cards with no issue.  I will verify all my connection when I get home. The system should be reading 15 drives in total. Thanks for the assistance.

Not on the diagnostics you posted, all three are on the SAS2LP

sdb, sdc, sdd, sde -> onboard Intel SATA ports

sdf, sdg, sdh, sdi, sdj, sdk -> onboard LSI controller

sdl, sdm, sdn -> SAS2LP

That info is awesome I think I know the problem. Would you mind sharing where you saw that so I know in the future and maybe even help someone?

On the diagnostics, lsscsi shows the drives per controller:
