July 26, 20187 yr I'm trying to use a Samsung 970 Evo as a cache drive using a PCI-E (3.0 x4) adaptor (but my Motherboard supports only PCI-E 2.0x4 on the second slot.).The first time I installed it showed up in the unassigned devices on the dashboard but the SMART status was thumbs down.I shutdown the unraid machine and popped the card and the adaptor in a Windows machine. The Samsung Magician software gave it a green light. After I plugged it back in the unraid machine it shows up in System Devices but doesn't show up in "Array Status". I think the controller is being disabled. July 27, 20187 yr Author I think the issue is with APST.After reboot it shows up during boot then disappears after boot finishes. media-nas-diagnostics-20180728-1044.zip
July 27, 20187 yr Looks more like a compatibility issue, if you can try it on a different slot or better yet on a different board, just to see if the problem persists.
