Is it still recommended to use different GPUs for multiple GPU passthrough?

 

I've currently got 2 VMs running with gpu passthrough, but I'd like to upgrade on one to match the other Radeon RX 560. Before I make the purchase I thought I should check if it's now ok to use identical GPUs.
