Adding new drive that I now want to us as cache

Hey guys,

 

Seen a few different answers to this so hoping I can get some feedback.

 

I currently have an assigned cache disk but I have just ADDED a new disk that I want to act as my NEW cache. The old cache drive I would like to add to my data pool. Is the process as easy as stopping the array and changing the current cache drive assignment to the new drive? Are there other steps needed as manually copying files over? 

 

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks much!

    If they're both btrfs formatted drives you can just do it like you described

    You will need to do a new config and rebuild parity with the changed array drive arrangement.
