m0ngr31
I'm trying to passthrough a Startech PEXUSB3S44V (4 port/4 controller), and I'm getting nothing but errors... If I don't stub it, I get something like this: Quote Aug 7 21:05:22 Gunhaver kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:07:00.0: Abort failed to stop command ring: -110 Aug 7 21:05:22 Gunhaver kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:07:00.0: xHCI host controller not responding, assume dead Aug 7 21:05:22 Gunhaver kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:07:00.0: HC died; cleaning up Aug 7 21:05:22 Gunhaver kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:07:00.0: Error while assigning device slot ID Aug 7 21:05:22 Gunhaver kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:07:00.0: Max number of devices this xHCI host supports is 32. I've tried compiling a Kernel with support for UASP (CONFIG_USB_UAS), but I get the same issues either way. Has anyone been able to get this going? There is another card that is similar, the Sonnettech Allegro Pro, which was demoed on the homepage, but it seems to have similar issues. Is there anything I can do? gunhaver-diagnostics-20180808-1119.zip Quote Link to comment
m0ngr31
Bumping this again after the 6.6.1 update. I don't get the kernel errors anymore, but I still can't get this to work properly in Windows. Has the same behavior as before. Quote Link to comment
Harald Dåsnes
Hi. Just made a new attempt of getting this card working, but with no luck 🙁 I have heard that there are multiple revisions of this card, and that someone has got it working. Mine is marked "PI40202-7X2B". I have seen a "PI40202-6X2B" and "PI40202-6X2A", and one of these might be working? Can anyone confirm this or have anyone experience with any other revision than mine?
