comet424 Posted August 9, 2018 Share Posted August 9, 2018 now I not sure if this is a coincendce or not but unraid is parity checking 24tb of data im currently copying 2.5TB of data to the unraid and im trying to use Plex but I cant plex gives me multiple errors unless I pause copying then it will work and im only have 1 network connection for the computer is plex not working right because I have these 3 things going.. or is it because I need like 2 or 3 network cards to increase band with etc but then you need a special switch for link agreession I read too Quote Link to comment

So anything else you do will result in one or more disks having to constantly seek between the parity read position and the read/write position of whatever you are doing. If your writes then also happens to be to the same disk(s) that Plex needs, then you suddenly have three concurrent jobs fighting for the attention of the same drive. Please head over to the feature requests subforum and wish for manual or automatic pause of parity checking when other tasks needs the disk capacity. Quote Link to comment
