boxer74
Using a bridged network connection using the virtio driver. If I work the connection hard (eg. downloading a game from steam at 40 MB/s) the network drops out. This can be reproduced regularly by putting the network under heavy load. Any suggestions? bonienl
As a test I copied a 6 GB file from my server to my Windows VM, it can sustain a 120MB/s transfer without a problem. Have you tried to install the latest virtio driver? Quote Link to comment
boxer74
Yes, I've got the latest drivers. Tried a reinstall. Same issue. Seems to be affected by whether my GPU is passed through or not. Running a test without the GPU and steam is able to handle a sustained download. Very strange. Quote Link to comment
boxer74
Spoke too soon. It just crashed. Quote Link to comment
bonienl
I only do remote desktops, have no experience with GPU passthrough setups, maybe somebody else can comment. Quote Link to comment
boxer74
Seems to definitely be related to the virtio network driver. If I edit the VM xml and use the intel e1000 driver, it works fine. Quote Link to comment
boxer74
Still having issues, now with both of my Win10 vm's with netkvm driver. Wondering if this is an issue with the host. Quote Link to comment
