realtek 8169 connectivity issue

I just purchased a Trendnet TL-TG3468. The card has a realtek 8168/8169 chipset.

 

Upon installing it into my unraid server, unraid does detect the card as 8169 when I use ethtool, however it cannot send/receive any data.

 

I had tried plugging the card into another computer with Windows 7, and it worked without any issue. The driver loaded up automatically.

 

It tested with the same cable/switch that I used with my unraid server.

 

So I'm not sure what problem would be at this point. Is it a driver issue or something else ??

Did you disable the other network card/chipset  in the BIOS?

 

Other than that, post a syslog.  Without it, nobody can offer much more than general advice.

yes, the onboard nic is disabled.

 

Tried it on both unraid 5 and 4.5.6

I just tried to run unraid on the Windows 7 computer, and the same nic works...

 

So is something to do with the motherboard/nic combo that's causing the issue

Who knows...
