rharvey
I'm in the process of upgrading an old original unRaid Stacker Tower with new and better hardware. One of the things that Tom did way back then was to build the system without any power button so the only way top power down and up was to use the P/S power switch. With the new motherboard there does not seem to be a way to have the system simply start to boot once power is supplied but it requires a momentary closure on the power button header. Does anyone know a way around this or do I really need to put in a switch...? Link to comment
Joe L.
You may just need the switch initially. (Or use a small screwdriver to momentarily short the two pins on the MB header if you have VERY STEADY HANDS) Once you set the BIOS option to power up on power restoration you probably will not need the switch again. Easiest way is to mount the switch on a spare rear mounting plate. Link to comment
ohlwiler
I own a C2SEA and I did the screw driver trick that Joe mentioned and set the bios to startup when power is first applied. Works great. Link to comment
