Plex Performance in a Debian 9 VM

Featured Replies

Hi, I’m doing a trial of Unraid.

I’m using Debian 9 as a VM as a server for Plex. I’m doing this rather than the docker version because I use the Trackt plugin for syncing content watched statuses. The VM is located on an SSD on a high spec server with plenty of memory and processors allocated.

What I’m seeing is the occasional network disconnection from network devices and overall slow performance when compared with another Plex server which is installed on a lower spec servers with Debian installed natively.

Everything looks to be installed and working, but I can’t figure out these performance issues. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Thanks

Typically you can run Plex plugins fine with the docker. You just drop it in the Plugins folder in your Plex appdata. Have you tried it with this plugin?
