Can anybody tell me if I upgrade my motherboard, processor and ram, will my unraid software still work or would it see it as a new pc and not work? Might seem like a daft question but I didn't want to swap motherboards etc and find it wouldn't work? thxs David

Other than VMs which have hardware-specific settings or hardware pass through, nothing in the unRAID OS or most dockers is hardware specific. You can usually upgrade MB, CPU and RAM and unRAID will boot up just like with the old hardware.

You may need to tweak VM settings but if nothing changes in the array config your server should boot up without issue after hardware swap.

I have done major hardware changes several times on my servers with very few config changes needed.
