Mover error "create_parent...No space left on device'

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Having an odd error with my mover.  Noticed a while back that transfers were slowing down.  When I checked my cache disk I saw that it was full.  I turned on logs for the mover and ran it to find this error.  Not really sure how to address this.  Disk5 has free space, and the photos share has 12.6TB free.  Photos share is set to use cache = "yes'. The cache has 2gb free.

What is the split level set for the Photos share .... I’m guessing it is forcing things to go to disk 4 which looks pretty full.

Split level takes precedence over allocation method.

And/or it could be that the ‘Minimum free space’ setting on the Photo share is set too low .... should be set at least to the largest size of file that will be written to the share.

Actually disk4 looks pretty empty. Cache looks pretty full.

Are you sure you don't have Photos set to cache-prefer?

Go to Tools - Diagnostics and post the complete zip
