August 26, 20187 yr Hi i has hoping some one can help me with my issue as i find my self stuck. First i am new to unraid and linux generally so please bear with me :) So i have installed unraid on a Dell Precision M6800 witch has Optimus grafiks, So a Intel GPU & Nvdia K4100M GPU. i have a windows 10 vm running, i have no issue passing through the Nvidia grafik card the only issue is there is no HDMI sound.(Nvidia GPU rom has been dumped and add to the VM) the only available sound are the onboard sound and a intel sound.(see attached picture) i have been doing quite a lot of googling and found that there is program like https://bumblebee-project.org/ & https://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.2/system/acpi_call/ where i should be able to control the optimus grafiks. also found a reddit post that said that after he had done a call with acpi_call to turn on and off the nvidia grafiks that the NVIDIA HDMI audio appeared in the IOMMU groups. This i would like to try. but everything fails for me, not able to install the Bumblebee our the acpi_call both fail in the make of the package, get following error when try to make acpi_call: make[1]: Entering directory '/usr/src/linux-4.14.49-unRAID' make[1]: *** No rule to make target 'modules'. Stop. so i googled that a bit and what i came to a conclusion that i might need to do some like this post: https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/21957-cant-compile-modules/ but modify it so i can compile the acpi_call package. This feels a litle bite out of my league , but before i try it out i has wondering if this is even correct our is their something else i am doing wrong our haven't tried. and if the the way forward is to follow this post https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/21957-cant-compile-modules/ what do i need to change to be able to add the acpi_call package other then the current version of kernel used? Thanks in advance and sorry for the broken english
