It is a top level folder on the flash. If it is missing when you think there should be a log file there then this will typically mean that the flash had dropped offline before Unraid could write the log file there.

If you cannot easily do this then you could let Unraid be the 'remote' server to itself and log to something like a pool drive or an unassigned device that is less likely to drop offline.

November 29, 20214 yr still having the same unclean shutdown issues. i have attached both logs that i can find on my server. its so intermittent and i'm at wits end figuring out how to solve this. any advice is appreciated. 2021-11-28 syslog-192.168.1.224.log syslog.txt
November 29, 20214 yr Community Expert Not a solution to your problem, but you should go to Settings - Scheduler - Mover Settings and disable Mover logging. Unless you are trying to debug a mover problem, they just take a lot of space in syslog and are not anonymized.

December 7, 20214 yr ok so unclean shutdown happened again. here is the log if anyone can help me figure out what is going on. maybe im missing a setting somewhere. 2021-12-06 syslog-192.168.1.224-night time.log

December 8, 20214 yr Community Expert When the filesystem is repaired, anything repair can't figure out gets dumped in those. Not sure whether that is a symptom or a cause. Put flash in your PC and let it checkdisk. While there make a backup. Be sure to boot from USB2 port.

January 23, 20224 yr ok so far to fix my issue to my plex problem not loading quick by changing the path. i found the answer at this reddit post. i also installed fix common problems plugin and then ran/fixed all issues. plus i updated al my plugins and dockers. and i restarted graphql. im not sure if all this fixed my unclean shutdown, but the most recent was changing the path. ever since then i havent had an unclean shutdown. figured i'd update this post in case someone else is having the same issue that has been plaguing me for over 4months.
May 4, 20233 yr I have same problem. I attached syslog to verified problem. I searched o problem my server and not found. Thanks for help. unraid-syslog-20230504-0826.zip

May 4, 20233 yr Community Expert When Unriad needs to force a shutdown it first saves the diags in the flash drive, logs folder, so post the ones from the most recent shutdown.
May 4, 20233 yr Community Expert Those are you current diags, not ones created by Unraid after a forced shutdown.
