August 29, 20187 yr Hey all! So I had an unraid server running for a while, it had 2 4TB drives, one of which was parity. It was running sonarr, radarr, plex, nzbget, print server, lidarr all fine. I was able to get about 3 streams without any issues. Eventually I ran out of space so I ordered a new hard drive. After installing the new hard drive I discovered that letting the drives fill up corrupted the docker images, and since most of the stuff i was storing was crap anyway I decided to just wip everything, zero out the drives, and start again. This is where I started having issues. It took over 2 weeks to zero out all 3 4TB hard drives, which I expected, but afterwards i've had nothing but trouble setting up the server. I am unable to get it into a state where I can even start one stream on plex, with just plex itself running. I have tried multiple different configurations now and i'm just not seeing what is wrong. Currently I am running NZBGet, pinned to CPU cores 2,3,10,11, unpacking to the cache drive which then moves over to the downloads share. Radarr is pinned to cores 0,8,1,9, managing nzbget for me. These both seem to work althout the download speed on NZBGet seems a little slower than I rememeber it. Finally plex is mapped to cores 4,12,5,13,6,14,7,15. Even attempting to stream plex to a local computer, at 720p 2mbps doesn't work, it just sits lodaing for about half a minute, maybe plays 10 seconds, then crashes. Plex is currently set to use /tmp for transcoding (path mapping /transcode to /tmp, and transcoding set to /transcode within plex app), but I have also tried transcoding onto the chache. The entire CPU always seems to be in use when plex is running, jumping from 0% to 100% seemingly randomly, and even with only plex running all cores seem to be in use, even though I've used the --cpuset-cpus=4,12,5... I also just left plex to try and transcode a movie at 720p again, and after about 5 minutes it seems to have just given up, CPU usage on server has dropped to 0, no plex transcoder process running, and web page just says video is loading. Ultimately I don't even remotely understand where these issues are coming from since I have tried so many configurations etc, and the issues only showed up after re installing everything. I'm not sure which files and stuff to attach, so if you need anything just tell me, and if you could tell me where to find said files that would be amazing. Thanks in advance, i'm completely baffled! hoshi-unraid-diagnostics-20180829-1825.zip Edited August 29, 20187 yr by hoshiwara
August 29, 20187 yr Tons and tons of memory errors. Maybe you displaced a stick when adding in the drive? Or the stick(s) are actually bad. Once again, thanks!
