6.5.2 Lots of 'IRQ 16: nobody cared' errors

Featured Replies

I've just changed my config around a bit by adding two SSDs connected by USB via UD (not the array) and I've also pooled them using this post from @johnnie.black

and I'm getting lots of IRQ 16: nobody cares errors - not just one now and then like usual, but a handful so I can't help thinking one of the changes above is probably the culprit.

Help please

I just wrote an answer to someone else having that problem here:

Updating to 6.5.3 might help too as it's a different kernel.

Hmm I tried the command you listed and I got this:

it doesn't look it's attached to anything?

I can't upgrade to 6.5.3 as it causes my VMs to freeze and crash.  I've posted repeatedly about it but never really got any 'bites' in terms of help, so I'm hoping 6.6 works smoothly for me.  unRAID has a great community, one of the best, but the lack of official support sometimes when you really need it is a problem.

That wasn't actually my suggestion. Have a look in your syslog and see if there's any mention of IRQ 16. On one of my servers it's used by a USB controller, which could potentially have consequences if it were ignored - on another it doesn't appear to be used at all.

I checked the syslog and the IRQ16 mentions (gone now) were only from FCP.  Now that I know to look for the info from your command in the logs above it shows the same info:
