Enabling VM Engine | UnRaid unresponsive

Featured Replies

Hi,

Enabling the VM Engine from settings makes UnRaid unresponsive.Reboot or shutdown also doesn't work and mostly I have to force restart the system.

I tried creating a Windows 10 VM but starting it sent the whole system into a paralysis.

Tried to shut it down through ssh but it fails to stop.

Booting into safe mode and disabling VM does the trick and the whole system including webGUI work perfectly.

This is completely out of my league (Ryzen gen 2 I think) but I would suggest to install the Fix Common Problems plugin, turn on the Trouble Shooting Mode, wait 30 minutes (so the first diagnostics is saved) and then enable VM (presumably will cause lock up), wait another 30 minutes (in case another diagnostics is saved) and then attach everything that FCP saved down.

Cheers! Will do that later this week.
