September 13, 20187 yr Hey! So after a recent generalized meltdown on my cache drive, I've been forced to restore my appdata multiple times. As I've done this, I noticed that Plex appdata is particularly annoying to manage. Most often when restoring the Plex appdata I have to go through a long process of refreshing all the metadata in the Plex, not to mention the time it takes to actually get through the restore process with Plex. So, using the awesome Appdata Backup/Restore plugin, I can't seem to find a way to continue to backup Plex appdata on the same schedule while choosing not to restore Plex through the plugin. So here is my plan that I'm looking for feedback on re: viability and implementation concerns. I'd like to create a new share based on a second SSD which is just for the Plex appdata. I'll copy the existing appdata over to that new share and point hte plex docker at it. Then I would use Duplicati to backup that new appdata folder on a regular basis and perform restore functions. Anything to consider in this setup? Thanks for viewing!
