September 14, 20187 yr the machine i plan to install Unraid on doesnt' have a wired internet connection, at the moment. As unraid installs on a thumb drive can I plug it into another machine that does have a wired connection to perform the install, then move the thumb drive over to the other machine?

That will not work with the Trial license as it needs an internet connection every time the machine running the trial is booted into unRAID. It would work with a Paid for license as in such cases an internet connection is not required on each boot.
September 14, 20187 yr Author Thanks, I guess I'll have to wait until my wifi bridge comes in to set it up then, as unraid doesn't support wifi cards.
