September 6, 201015 yr Newegg has a combo deal with this board and an i3 540. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.495331 Looks like a decent deal, but I don't know if it is compatible. I tried searching for it here, but din't find anything. Thanks for helping a noob!
September 6, 201015 yr I almost picked up this combo the other week, but it was $20 more and they had the Zotac mini-ITX H55 + i3 530 for about $40 less after rebates. It should be compatible as it's a standard H55 chipset. I know unRAID works fine with the Zotac H55 board, so this ECS should work just the same.
September 6, 201015 yr Since almost all of the essential components are integrated into the processor/h55 chipset, it ought to be okay. The significant component which is separate is the ethernet physical layer interface, so find out what ethernet driver is on the board and confirm compatibility with unRAID.
