Dealing with Access Denied Errors Windows SMB

Featured Replies

I recently had an error doing a backup using Goodsync.  Which works well generally.  I got the following error in the backup.  This was one file out of a large directory in which all the other files worked fine.

Quote

ERROR: Access is denied.  (error 5); Elevated MoveFile: server: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.  (error 123)

I was able to delete the file from the console.  I'm confused by the fact that just one file got the error.  If ALL the files were getting that error, then I'd understand.  But I'm confused that just one file gets the error.

Thanks for your wisdom...
