LSI SAS2008 based controllers don't support trim on most SSDs, connect it to an onboard SATA port.

My LSI SAS2008 based var worked with my Samsung 840 Pro prior, but now I experience the above, so this is a recent unRaid issue IMO.

Yes, that's why I said it doesn't work on most SSDs, there seems to be a different issue probably related to the newer LSI driver where it stopped working for the few it worked on SAS2008 and for many (all?) on the SAS2308.
