Greygoose
I have a spare computer gaining dust and I've decided the best course of action is Unraid. I plan to use it as an onsite backup machine I have around 800GB of family photos, also would like to backup existing configuration and VM's I use on my main machine. What is the best configuration for this, any recommendations on how to automate this process, best dockers etc? Backup Machine Specs Dell T20 E3-1225V3 3.2ghz 20GB DDR 3 EEC Ram 3x 2TB Hard drivers (I am pre-clearing these now to confirm condition) Unraid 6.6.1 Plugins / Fix Common Problems / Pre-Clear Quote Link to comment

Won't touch the actual VM Vdisks though. Quote Link to comment
Greygoose
Hi Squid, Thanks for your reply. This option you suggest sounds simple, which is ideal. Is there a way to have the backup server OFF and only powered on during the backup process? Also is there a way to have rclone do this and encrypt the backup? Quote Link to comment
