Doesn't like the name "NAS" ??

Featured Replies

Upgraded from 6.5.3 to 6.6.1 and I can no longer access unRAID by name ( \\nas or \\nas.domainname.org ).  I can access it via IP address.  If I change the name to anything other than "NAS", for instance, "TOWER", and I update DNS, I can access by name without issue.

I have looked for cached credentials. There are none.  I even deployed a new Windows 10 VM that was not joined to my domain, and it had the very same symptoms.

I can ping by name, and manage the web GUI by name, so I know it's not a DNS issue. Yes, I know that I'm running under ESXi. I get the very same results running baremetal.  I even tried a new flash drive. It works just fine, until I got change the name to "NAS".  I also tried it with 6.6.0 and that has the same result as well.

I have attached diagnostics.

Thanks!
