Unmenu Time Vs Real Time And Auto Powerdown

Featured Replies

Hello,

The time showing on my unmenu GUI is 14hrs behind what the actual time is were I am, Cairns, Australia, GMT+10hr.

I have the powerdown pkg's loaded, with the following in my go script,

CTRLALTDEL=NO LOGSAVE=30 installpkg /boot/packages/powerdown-1.02-noarch-unRAID.tgz

sysctl -w kernel.poweroff_cmd="/sbin/powerdown"     Note, this doesn't work for me.

Is there some way to get the time to update to my correct local time?

Because firstly, when I add the following to my go script it doesn't work,

echo "/sbin/powerdown" | at 01:00

I have to put this, to get it to work

echo "/sbin/powerdown" | at 23:00

Secondly, when it does work, in a Putty window, I get no powerdown info(like I would if I typed /sbin/powerdown), it jumps straight to,

The system is going down for system holt NOW!

Is that normal when setting up my box to powerdown like that?

Thanks

Do you set your time zone settings in the WebUI?

The behavior of powerdown script is correct, as it don't log to every terminal, but only to the executing terminal and the syslog.

Sorry can you explain how to do that?

Go to the settings tab. You will see a section for time and data. Adjust accordingly and turn on the optional NTP for auto updating.

If on an older version of unRAID you'll also need to download and install the "timezone" file for your specific location for it to work automatically in daylight-savings-time.

Fixed, you guys are the best.

Running v4.5.6 Basic, so I'm presuming this will work automatically when DST arrives?

According to the 4.5.5 release thread, it should.
