October 1, 20187 yr I woke up this morning to the dread red X on one of my HDDs. I was wondering if somebody could take a look at the syslog and SMART report for me to see if they see anything out of the ordinary? (both attached to this post). I actually had issues a week or so ago with another HDD in a different port/bay as well. This server has been up and running for nearly a year without issues. Thanks in advance! syslog.txt WDC_WD3000FYYZ-01UL1B3_WD-WMC130D85YSJ-20181001-0559 disk2 (sdd) - DISK_DSBL.txt Edited October 1, 20187 yr by jpotrz

That being said, how do I switch to AHCI in unRaid? And once done, I assume it should then be safe re-enable the drive per the Wiki? https://wiki.unraid.net/Troubleshooting#Re-enable_the_drive

It needs to be switched in the board BIOS. 2 minutes ago, jpotrz said: And once done, I assume it should then be safe re-enable the drive per the Wiki? It should be, though there are a couple of reported_uncorrected errors the disk looks mostly fine, but not a bad idea to run an extended SMART test before rebuilding.
