hi,

i have 2 unraid servers

 

one server has a basic key and the other has a plus key.

for example i will use server 1 and server 2

server 1 has 4 drives plus cache and is currently using the basic key

server 2 has only 3 drives plus cache and has the plus key.

 

i have seen it before but cannot find it anymore. i want to still have 2 servers but i wanted to swap the keys from one to another while keeping all other settings the same.

what is the process? TIA 

Based on the fact that the Config folder contains all your settings information, and that the .key file in each Config folder is tied to the USB drive it is currently located on, the following should work:

• backup the Config folders from each USB drive to your PC keeping track of which one came from which USB drive.
• copy the Config folders back to the other USB drive
• copy the correct .key file in the backups to the Config folder to the USB drive to which is tied.
