October 8, 20187 yr Hi everyone, I upgraded my build after I kept running into problems which no one had any solutions for, see here. So I decided to upgrade my hardware since the old build was to old to run dockers in a meaningful manner anyway. I bought this ASrock and a LSI 9211-8i SAS Card. But at first I got more than 20.000 sync errors and countless read errors. After a reboot those errors seem gone, but the parity-speed is super slow with only 10mb/sec... Guys, I would really appreciate any help...

October 9, 20187 yr Community Expert Most disks are showing thousands of UDMA CRC errors, are these old or is they still increasing? If still increasing it usually indicates bad SATA cable(s).
October 9, 20187 yr Author They are in fact new and increasing. I got a new SAS to SATA expander to rule out faulty cables...
October 9, 20187 yr Author Tried a few cables from work, all of them produced UDMA CRC errors. Tried a fresh install of unraid - errors came back Tried the latest stable - errors came back. No errors when I try the onboard sata ports. I suppose the problem lies within the new (eBay / China) LSI-Card...

If it's not the cables and you're not using or ruled out any sort of enclosure it's very likely the HBA, it could even be a fake, I usually recommend buying used server pulls, similar price to new ones from China and much less chance of getting a fake.
