Default/built-in shares with SMB enabled

Featured Replies

On 6.6.1 I had the issue with NFS crashing.

In the post below, there's mention of removing SMB shares on unassigned devices (which I don't have, but wondering if it'll help):

With that in mind, is there anything that will break if I change the default/built-in shares (domains, system, appdat, isos) so they aren't shared via SMB anymore?

I'd really like to go back from 6.5.3 to 6.6.1 but I don't have that option if NFS is still broken (yes I know it's a 4.18.10 kernel thing).

No point in changing SMB shares.   It is NFS shares that have problems if you are using them.

Yeah I wasn't sure how to interpret that post.  It seemed to suggest that disabling SMB for shares that are accessing the same disks as NFS shares (or something like that) might be causing the issue.  Guess not.
