unRaid dedicated video - newby

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm looking to use unraid to build a work station that will host a lot of VMs. The one thing Im concerned about is how to select which video card unRaid will use. I have bought the asrock fatality str4 board and it has 5 pcie slots ( 16x, 8x, 1x, 16x, 8x). I want to put a 1x gpu in the 1x slot so I can use the 2 16x slots for gtx 1080's which I will pass through to other VM's. I dont have the cpu or RAM yet (kinda just waiting for the AMD 24 core to come out on the 29th), so I havent hooked up the board yet to see if there is such an option. So is there a way to specify which card is used for bootup and unraid?
