Unraid server wont boot after 6.6.2 update

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I'm running into a weird issue after updating my server to unraid 6.6.2. When booting up the system initially doesnt detect a boot device even though the USB is plugged in. I can get the system to boot by turning it off, putting the USB drive in a different USB slot on the motherboard and then turning it on again, although this is also hit and miss.. Weirdly, this only seemed to work when a monitor was plugged in and i could not get unraid to boot at all when running headless...

I eventually gave up and reverted back to 6.5.3 as this was what i was running before and the server now has no issues. It boots every time (headless or not) and is not sensitive to which USB slot the USB drive is plugged into..

Any help or ideas would be appreciated, diagnostics attached!

Cheers

There have been issues with some packages that are installed by Nerd Pack.  You can read about it in the 6.6.2 release thread.
