October 19, 20187 yr Hi guys, Hopefully this is something simple for you. I took out my GTX 1060 for another project, originally it was used on a VM passthroughed. I've since removed it and thought changing to VNC would be sufficient to start it and have access but I have this error, any ideas please? Thanks

October 20, 20187 yr The GPU is still there. You can remove the part from the xml. Can you take a screenshot of the vm template and post it?

October 21, 20187 yr You remove the hostdev tags for the 0x05 bus. That is not the screenshot of the template. That is of the xml, but your xml is also missing. Switch off xml view and post a new screenshot.
October 21, 20187 yr This might be a bug. Either report it or delete the hostdev tags for the devices in xml mode. On phone, so can't paste what you need to remove.

Thanks a lot for your advice so far, if you could post when you get a moment that'd be great, I made many mistakes deleting the wrong tags.

October 23, 20187 yr I might be wrong, but I think saarg was saying to take out this part of XML: <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <driver name='vfio'/> <source> <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x05' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/> </source> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x05' function='0x0'/> </hostdev> <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <driver name='vfio'/> <source> <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x05' slot='0x00' function='0x1'/> </source> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x06' function='0x0'/> </hostdev> I'm no expert, but that looks like your old video card and is the bus giving you trouble.

More expert than i am, that worked, thanks a lot to you both.
