October 20, 20187 yr Hi I recently added a 3rd ssd to my cache pool and and switched from raid1 to raid0 using -dconvert=raid0 -mconvert=raid1 . Previously my cache pool was only used for appdata and system use, however now my media folder is is set to use cache pool. I've noticed when the mover is running (usually once a day), the system slows down noticeably. In addition there have been a couple of instances where downloads filled up the media folder too quickly and corrupted the docker.img. It seems sensible to seperate important system files from media, so is it possible to create a seperate cache space for the system & appdata shares? Perhaps removing one ssd from the cache pool and keeping as an unassigned device with the appdata and system shares allocated to that disk?
October 20, 20187 yr Community Expert You can certainly decide to have files on an SSD managed by UD. What you cannot do is have a UD managed device participate in the User Shares.
