How to enable access from only specific devises on LAN

Featured Replies

I have a load of devices on my LAN - IoT etc etc.

All devices have reserved IP's

My unraid has lots of dockers which obviously need access - but they are the same IP address.

I was wondering how I can limit access to the unraid server to specific devices only from the LAN ?  Or reverse, disable access for a range of IP Addresses ?

Further to this - Am I able (or allowed) to use the iptables that unraid has ?

i.e assume IP I wish to block is 192.168.1.100 :

iptables -A INPUT -s 192.168.1.100 -j DROP

Further, will this survive an unraid update ?

Thankis.

Finally, do the dockers 'adopt' this iptables settings ?

I think you should segment your network with VLAN and place iot on one and drop everything to/from that network thats coming from your main lan?
