Need Help with Too many attached devices

Featured Replies

I've been running unraid for a while now and want to upgrade some drives. I stopped the array and now it is telling me there are too many attached drives and I cant start the array. I didn't change anything yet with the drives. I wanted to remove a 3tb drive and change it for one of the 8tb drives. I am only using 1 parity drive and 10 drives for the array.

Appears you have 14 storage devices attached (not counting usb boot flash).  If you have Plus key, that's 2 too many.

I only have 10 drives in the array I thought that the unassigned devices do not count as attached. Are you saying I need to removed the drives from the unassigned devices?

All attached storage device are counted at time array Starts, no matter how they are utilized in the server.  After the array is Stated you can hot-plug devices if you desire.
