JorgeB
Please post your diagnostics: Tools -> Diagnostics, but looks like problems with your flash drive. Quote Link to comment
goce
Hi Johnnie, Thanks for the quick reply. I have attached Diagnostics zip file. When I come to fix about it. I did receive a error alert on my flash drive. But after a reboot it came good again. If the issue is related to the Flash drive is going bad. Can I ghost the drive to another flash drive and use the new one ? nas2-diagnostics-20181021-1818.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Because of all the errors syslog rotated so can't see the beginning of the problem, power down, check filesystem on the flashdrive using your desktop, then power back on and if still issues grab and post new diags. P:S: if you're using an USB 3.0 port change to USB 2.0. Quote Link to comment
goce
So just use windows check disk on the flash disk ? Quote Link to comment
goce
I will have to do this tomorrow. My vm in unraid is doing some work and i can stop it. I will give you the results. But is it possible to ghost the usb to another flash drive amd use the new ghosted drive? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
It's possible to image the flash drive, if it's working correctly, but it's also enough to just backup the config folder, create (or recreate) the flash drive using the USB creator tool and restore the config folder, if using a different flash drive you'll also need to request a license transfer. goce
Cool.first i will do a scan of the drive . But before i do it i should back up the configuration like you have advise. Is there a web page showing how to do this ? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Just copy the folder named config on the flash drive, you can access it over Lan, it's the share called flash. Quote Link to comment

goce
Ok here you go. I did have a quick look and found this erro Oct 22 10:57:50 NAS2 emhttpd: error: get_key_info, 584: Invalid argument (22): get_message: /boot/config/Basic.key (-3) nas2-diagnostics-20181022-1057.zip Quote Link to comment

I would edit /config/disk.cfg on the flash and change startArray="yes" to be startArray="no" Probably won't fix the problem, but maybe it'll get you into the webUI. My guess is that the .key file is messed up due to the file corruption you had. Quote Link to comment
goce
I tried that but no luck. Still cant get the web dashboard up. I change it from yes to no then shutdown. restarted it in GUI mode and when I went to the web interface. Still no luck . Quote Link to comment
Squid
Rename the .key file from Basic.key to be Basic.oldkey Reboot. Quote Link to comment
goce
I did that and tried it from the NAS itself via GUI no luck. And I tried it from my pc no luck. I'm really starting to worry that I lost my data. Quote Link to comment

Make a new USB stick with LT's USB Creator Tool. It should at least get you to a webUI. If that works, then copy from the old flash to the new one the Basic.key file and boot again. It will either give you the ton of errors again or it will walk you through transferring the key. If it transfers, then reassign your drives. If it gives you all the errors again, then register the flash as a trial and contact Limetech to manually transfer the registration over to the new stick. goce
Its just not my day. I have downloaded the USB creator onto 3 different PC and they wont pick up the formatted USB flash disk. I got to find another disk to try it out Quote Link to comment
Squid
You can always do it manually Format a fresh USB ( less than 32G ) as FAT32. Name the drive UNRAID Extract the contents of the zip file downloaded from LT's website onto the flash Run as Administrator the make_bootable.bat script Quote Link to comment
goce
ok i got the new USB up and running. The web interface is up and running too . Now I need to get a new key or can i use my old key ? Quote Link to comment
goce
It see the two disk. But I dont know which disk was my main disk and the other parity . Quote Link to comment
Squid
It see the two disk. But I dont know which disk was my main disk and the other parity .If you only have two disks, then you would assign the larger one as parity if they are different sizes or if they're the same size then it doesn't matter which is which. Logging off til the morning, but if something comes up as unmountable then wait for someone else to take over before you do anything else Sent from my SM-T560NU using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment
goce
Ok I sent a email to support requesting a new key (transfer key). nas2-diagnostics-20181021-2038.zip I can't do anything until the key is sorted out. As I am getting a Blacklisted USB Flash GUID Flash Vendor: SMI Flash Product: USB_DISK Flash GUID: 090C-1000-0000-000000000000 I have attached the diagnostic file from the new USB flash disk. I believe I did mange to sort out which disk is the main disk and which is the parity . I log a call ages ago about parity There it has what disk is what. Quote Link to comment
