How to delete a share

Featured Replies

I created a share that I no longer want on my unraid server but it has files that I cannot delete. How can I delete this share?

You need to delete the files first, you can use midnight commander (mc on the console) to delete the folder (=share) and all filers inside

I recommend to delete the files (make the folder empty) and then use the GUI to delete the folder. This will keep all configuration files in sync.

I've tried to do that but then when I go to delete the files I get a File Explorer warning that I need permission to make changes but I'm logged in under root.

Try midnight commander but don't delete the top folder, the share, delete everything inside, then and like Bonienl mentioned use the GUI do delete the share.
