Slow video youtube

Featured Replies

Hi,

i am new here but i was doing some research about kvm/qemu libvirt unraid...

so my probleme now is that even with spice and qxl the youtube stream is really slow , i tried also GPU passthrough (Nvidia GT710)but cOde 43 drive me crazy

Another question if you let me .

i cant find the mdev_support for my host system ..is it about the version of my kernel or something else thank you

Sprry for my english

There is basically no way to play a video smooth inside a VM and showing it via a remote software like VNC unraid uses or other protocols like RDP or Teamviewer. You will always see some delay or lag more or less depending on the software you're using to connect to the VM. The only way you really get a smooth video playback today is to passthrough a GPU to the VM and attach a monitor to that GPU directly as output device. You can try to install NoMachine or Splashtop Desktop inside the VM and connect to it from another PC with the same software and test if the performance is better. These both remote solutions are the better ones but they also will show some lag. Best way is to fix your code 43 issue. In case you wanna game with that VM GPU passthrough is the only way to go.
