No Server access via SMB

Featured Replies

Good afternoon,

I had to change my router gear to a Fritz!Box 7390 and have 2 iMacs (via WLAN) plus a VDR (via GBit LAN) attached to the network. The unRAID server is my media server (..also attached via GBit LAN) I´m using with XBMC on all clients installed.

Only one of the Macs has access to the unRAID machine via SMB. I changed the /etc/hosts on each client files plus the workgroup according to the descriptions here in the forum. The server is the workgroup master; I rebooted all devices (server & clients) but nothing helped. Funny enough I have full access via upnp.

What did I overlooked?

Btw I installed SMB over Avahi according to the guide here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=4173.0
