GPU to VM ( above my understanding)

Featured Replies

hi sorry if this is old to all you VM Veterans out there

ive had a unraid server for some time now with plex on a docker as my pc is old but reliable X58A-UD3R with a Xeon x5660  i would like to keep using it

ive just got a nvidia P2000 to use in a Windows 10 pro VM to help plex do its thing as im getting more and more devices using my cpu but im having trouble getting it runing

by the way i have a bios mod which enabled IOMMU on my board

in my windows 10 vm i can select the P2000

the GPU is in its own Group

IOMMU group 21:

[10de:1c30] 04:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP106GL [Quadro P2000] (rev a1)

[10de:10f1] 04:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GP106 High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1)

ive even got a separate gpu for unraid

but i get this error and i just dont understand what to do

any help would be GREAT

this is the error i get when i start the VM

internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2018-10-30T15:14:01.882214Z

Are you using a bios for the gpu?
