September 14, 201015 yr Many 5-in-3 enclosures use trays that also require screws. In particular the Supermicro apparently uses rather small screws that may be harder to replace. Anyone knows ones that don't use screws? I have an Acer WHS server that uses trays that are toolless, which I like - you just bend one side of the tray a bit and the drive fits in. I'm aware of the trayless enclosures but I can only get the SNT which has no drive LED lights.
September 16, 201015 yr There are many options for trayless drive cages, but I haven't heard of any toolless trayed units. Here's some options to consider (some of these are 4-in-3s and 3-in-2s, but the same company generally will make a 5-in-3 version): SNT SNT-SAC3051TL StarTech HSB430SATBK iStarUSA BPN-230SAS-RED
